Electives- yes another post

Hey guys, i realize that i have been going crazy with posts lately but i have just one more. What electives is everyone taking in the fall? i know some of us (maybe just me) are interested to see what everyone else is taking so we can make up our minds about fall schedules... before fall. Anyway... what are you taking in the fall (in addition to the core classes)

  1. I'm hoping to take a photojournalism class. I've been in touch with both my committee chair and the class instructor about it and will try to add the class on the first day if there are seats available.

  2. Hmmm...not totally sure yet. Thinking about:

    Women's Health
    Non Profit Management (MPA)
    Third World Development (MBA-winter)
    International Development Management (MPA-winter)

I'd like to find a grant writing class or maybe something from the nutrition department.

  3. I'd really like to hear some of the other ideas too. I'm still deciding on...

    GEOG 503 - Geographic Infosystems
    HLTH 422 - Disaster Preparedness
    NDFS 361 - Food Microbiology
    PWS 345 - Air Pollution/Quality

I just might drop the last 3 and sign up for the photojournalism class though...its tempting!

  4. I'm signed up for

SOC W 630- social welfare policy analysis
    P POL 502 -policy process
P MGT 628- program performance and evaluation
SFL 102-introduction to interiors (i want my house to match)

I think i am going to drop one or more of the classes, and Mark the photojournalism class sounds really tempting!

  5. I'm still debating! Right now I'm signed up for:

HLTH 422 - Disaster Response & Emergency Prep
P POL 501 - Intro to Policy Analysis
    P POL 502 - Policy Process
    GEOG 503 - Geographic Infosystems

I only need to take 2 of them, so I'm still debating which two. I also like the idea of SOC 350 - Intro to Social Psychology, but I don't know how well that one would fly. Although its very relevant to health promotion and behavior change.

  8. I'm taking

Geog 503 - Geographic Information Systems

I'm considering adding some kind of human physiology class for Winter Semester (I was told I need to know more of that kind of stuff to be a good epidemiologist).
